The rail easily pivots for bevel cuts, and the rip/mitre cutting guide enables fast repeatable cuts. You can rip cut porcelain and ceramic tiles up to 900mm long, and thanks to the big side extension table you can perform mitre cuts to tiles as big as 600 x 600mm! The bridge of the BTS230 has a measurement guide and lateral stops which facilitate multiple quick and accurate cuts of exact length.
