• Extend internally threaded rod to full length and attach the bracket jaws onto the spring.
• Adjust safeguard and tighten locking nut to secure in place.
• There are two dowels on the fork for the protective guard to be inserted, and the middle nut remains loose to allow adjustment of the guard to the correct length around the spring.
• With a hand ratchet or wrench, slowly and evenly crank the hex socket to compress the spring.
