Easy-to-read compass card has two degree graduations and 30 degree markers on a waterproof, liquid-damped compass capsule that rotates 360 degrees and can be adjusted to your local magnetic declination angle to find True North. The bright, glow-in-the-dark luminescent dots are unique and invaluable for nighttime orienting. Besides a luminescent dot on the north end of the compass needle, there are also two luminescent dots that rotate with the compass bezel. The three luminescent dots glow brightly in the dark for easy nighttime reading. Compass lid equipped with a finger notch (small outward protrusion in the lid, see second picture) just to the right of the ring for easy opening, even with gloves on in cold weather Unlike most other brass compasses, these compasses have a special scratch resistant clear coating that reduces tarnish and fingerprints on the brass casing
